On March 21, 2024 the Opening Ceremony of the Quinzaine Franco-Allemande d'Occitanie took place in Millau! 🎊
This initiative, launched by the GROUPE LA DEPECHE DU MIDI foundation and supported by L'Association Allemagne Occitanie L'Europe au Coeur, La Région Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée and the German Embassy in Paris, offers over a hundred events open to the general public, addressing four major themes: the economy, culture, education and citizenship.
🎼 The program featured interesting speeches, a symbolic re-enactment of the fall of the Wall and a charming performance by the Deutsche Schule Toulouse (DST) choir, who moved us with French and German songs.
💬 During this event, I had the great honor of exchanging views with His Excellency the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Stephan Steinlein and his wife.
😊 It was a wonderful and enriching meeting that fostered Franco-German dialogue.
